Character Design with Blender and Marvelous Designer

A character made with Blender 2.81 using Cycles Render Engine. Additional tools used was Marvelous Designer 9 for clothing, Substance Painter for the skin and Zbrush.

Background

This character was created as a way to tackle a harder challenge, purely to blow my previous creations out of the water. The main focus of this project was to show realistic skin, hair and fabric, as well as expressive character design. Studying the anatomy of multiple mammals, I created the skin to look like something from a whale, to extrude the wrinkles and bumps of the face sculpture.
